Fall into Radiance: Changing-up your Autumn skincare routine

As we bid farewell to the balmy summer and adjust to the cooler air of Autumn, it’s time to change-up your skin routine, just as you would with your wardrobe.

So, as you pack away your summer clothes and flip-flops, take the time to reassess your daily skincare, as the cooler climate can cause unwelcome changes to our skin including redness, dry patches and dreaded breakouts.

In this week’s blog, we explore the benefits of incorporating both effective and seasonal ingredients into your autumn skincare routine.

HYDRATION

The drop in temperature and humidity during autumn will often leave your skin feeling thirsty. By switching to a richer moisturiser like our L'ORGANIQ Radiance Moisturiser, that contains thirst quenching skin ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, will not only help lock in hydration, it will keep your skin supple and prevent autumn dryness.

EXFOLIATE

Exfoliation is essential year-round, but during the autumn season, it's important to be gentle with your skin. The cooler weather can make it more sensitive, so consider using an effective but gentle exfoliant. Our L’ORGANIQ Clarifying Skin Polish uses apricot extract to exfoliate dead skin cells, while nourishing at the same time.

EMBRACE ANTIOXIDANTS

Autumn is the perfect time to load up on antioxidants in your skincare products. Ingredients like vitamin C, natural fruit, and green tea extracts, will help protect your skin from environmental damage, including UV rays and pollution. These antioxidants also promote collagen production, leaving your skin positively glowing and L'ORGANIQ Vitamin Boost Facial Serum has all these ingredients in one little bottle.

SEASONAL SKINCARE SAVIOUR

Pumpkin isn't just for lattes and decorative IG shots; it also works wonders for your skin. Pumpkin is rich in vitamins A and C, which can help brighten your complexion and promote cell turnover, which is why we use this seasonal ingredient in our L’ORGANIQ Caffeine Rich Anti-Ageing Moisturiser.

DON'T FORGET SUNSCREEN

Even though the days are getting shorter, UV rays will always be present, and it's crucial to protect your skin daily with at least an SPF 30 as a finishing touch to your morning routine. Consider products with added antioxidants for added protection against free radicals.

EMOLLIENTS FOR EXTRA CARE

As the air becomes cooler, you may need to add an emollient-rich cream to your evening routine. Avocado oil contains a rich source of natural fatty acids and so too does sunflower, argan and grape seed oils to protect against the harsh weather conditions. Our L’ORGANIQ Pro-Age Eye Cream has all three, to help hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes.

ADAPT & EXPERIMENT

Remember that everyone's skin is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. Autumn is the perfect time to experiment with new products and ingredients. Start slowly and patch-test new additions to your routine to ensure they don't cause irritation.

Transitioning your skincare routine for autumn is a mindful approach to self-care. By incorporating hydrating ingredients, antioxidants, and seasonal favourites, you can maintain healthy, glowing skin even as the weather changes.
